Bowen has led over 1000 hours of instruction in and out of the classroom including workshops at the Colorado Gold Writers Conference, Pikes Peak Writers Conference, and Wild Deadwood Reads. Not just an award-winning author, he holds a Master of Education in Adult Education, is a veteran US Army officer, and has nearly fifteen years experience leading public programming for the most visited park in Colorado. He holds five martial arts black belt designations, is a Dueling Arts International certified stage combatant, and is a certified trainer through the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) and Leave No Trace (LNT).
