Refund and Exchange Policy

Overview

Our refund and exchange policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

Only physical print items qualify for refunds or exchanges.

Ebooks, audiobooks, and other electronic media/downloadable products do not qualify for refunds or exchanges from Storiesbybowen.com.

To complete your return, we require a copy of purchase receipt or other proof of purchase (i.e. email, order number, etc.).

Please do not send your book purchase back to the printer listed inside the cover. They cannot exchange or refund your purchase.

Refund or Exchange

We only issue refunds and exchanges if purchased items are incorrect based on order, defective, or severely damaged beyond use. Storiesbybowen.com and Bowen Gillings Author are not responsible for any mishandling or damage of goods incidental to shipping. Examples of defects worthy of refund or exchange include:

  • Missing pages/section of a book
  • Tear in book cover greater than two inches (6 cm) in length
  • Tear greater than two inches (6 cm) in five or more pages
  • Misprint of book contents/cover
  • Incorrect item or title based on purchase

To initiate a refund or exchange, complete the contact form at storiesbybowen.com/contact describing the error/defect/damage and whether you seek a refund or exchange for like item(s). Please, include the order number. In the subject line, write Exchange Request or Refund Request. Once your email is received and verified, we will send you an email to notify you of the initiated refund/exchange process and any additional instructions.

If a refund is requested and approved, a credit equal to the cost of the original purchase item will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-10 business days. Refunds include the cost of shipping, taxes, and fees.

If an exchange for like item(s) is requested and approved, a verification email will be sent from Storiesbybowen.com to purchaser. Replacement item(s) will ship to the original purchase address. A confirmation email will be sent to purchaser on date of shipment (within 5-10 business days of exchange approval).

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund within 10 business days of approval, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us via our Contact Form. Include the order number and date refund verification email was received.

Sale items

Items purchased at sale price are refunded/exchanged at sale price. At no time will refunds be granted at full price for sale items.
