Bowen is an award-winning author and holds a Master of Education in Adult Education. He has facilitated over 1000 hours of instruction in and out of the classroom including workshops at the Colorado Gold Writers Conference and Pikes Peak Writers Conference. He is a veteran US Army officer, holds five martial arts black belt designations, and is a certified trainer through the National Association for Interpretation (NAI).
